A ball valve is a type of shut-off valve used to control flow when the flow needs to be either on or off. They are easy to use. With a simple 90-degree turn of the handle, you can “turn off” or “open” the release. The name comes from the spherical ball inside the valve that has a hole in it and rotates to open and stop the flow.
